Truth ---> Self Perception

Ideas and issues intended for research

I'm interested in the 'truth' we create for ourselves. What do we choose to edit out which we do not want others to see? The position of the camera can be changed, the composition of the scene, the number of frames shot, Photoshop manipulation and even the way in which an image is presented.
We choose the best image to represent ourselves to an audience - what is involved in that choice? What happens when we have complete control over that decision?

camera - editing process
video - unused footage

these invoke the idea of 'possible worlds' each frame may indicate a different perceived self
Every possible you is realised in every possible world.

From how we want others to perceive us, to how they actually perceive us.
Objective view of oneself ---> subjective view about is

Suggested research question(s)

1) How does being in complete control of the camera/editing etc affect to what degree we will subvert the truth to a representation we are happy with?

2) We all attempt to censor ourselves in society, keeping our many thoughts private. How does our intended facade in which we want to be perceived by others actually differ/relate to how they actually perceive us.
